“endpoint” と “end point” はどちらが正しいか？
あれ？どっちだったっけ？と思うことがよくある。
AMA Manualではどう書かれているのか。
探してみたがマニュアルの中にどちらが正しいという記載はないが、9版に”endpoint”が 1つ見つかったものの10版では”end point” で統一されている。
以下のやり取りに見られるように、”end point” と2語として使うのが、AMA Manualの考え方のようだ。

We follow Webster’s for nonmedical terms, so “end point” is still 2 words. “Timepoint” is not in the dictionary and seems a bit redundant. Could just be “time” or “point.”
AMA Manual はそうだとしても他ではどうだろうか？
ネットで検索すると、”endpoint” も多く使われている。
私が受講したメディカル講座の講師（サンフレア）の方やアメリアの定例トライアルの解説ではどちらも使われているとのことだ。
New England Journal of Medicine では “end point” が使われている。
とりあえず、使用する場合は統一することが大前提として、やはり “end point” を使うかなぁ。自分なら。
